React Native & Expo
iOS and Android from one React codebase, with Expo handling builds, updates, and store delivery.
What we build with it
- Consumer apps for both stores
- Business apps replacing paper processes
- Companion apps for SaaS products
- Apps sharing logic with a React web app
Why we use it
Most apps don't need two native teams. React Native gives you native UI from one codebase, and Expo's tooling means fixes can ship over the air without waiting on store review.
When we don't use it
Games, heavy 3D, or apps built around one platform's newest APIs are better served fully native. We'll say so in the first call.
Questions we actually get
Short answers, no sales language. If yours isn't here, ask an engineer directly.
Ask us anythingReact Native or fully native?
Native wins on cutting-edge platform features and raw graphics. React Native wins on cost, speed, and keeping both platforms in sync. For most business and consumer apps that's the right trade.
What does Expo add?
Managed builds, over-the-air updates, and store submission without maintaining Xcode and Android Studio pipelines yourself. In practice it is the difference between shipping weekly and shipping quarterly.
